Mondial de La Bière Rio 2015 was a sucess!

<div style="text-align: left;"><b><i>MONDIAL DE LA BI&Egrave;RE CONFIRMS THE AUDIENCE IS EVEN MORE OPEN TO&nbsp; UNUSUAL BEER FLAVORS&nbsp; <br /> </i></b><i><br /> The Rio de Janeiro's third edition of the beer hall has brought together 38,000 people over four days at P&iacute;er Mau&aacute;. The highlights of the year were the creative labels.</i></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Mondial de la Bi&egrave;re ended its third edition on Sunday, 22, with an exponential audience growth, with 38,000 visitors over four days. For the organizers of the event, the growth of audience and brands, comparing with the previous editions, shows Rio de Janeiro has definitely broken into the craft beer market and has a pulsating demand.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>The last day was marked by the revelation of the three most voted beers by the audience. With 1,200 votes counted, the big winners were Petra Stark, by Petr&oacute;polis Group, with the bronze medal; Interstellar, by Hocus Pocus, which took the silver medal; and twice champion Ni&ntilde;a, by Jeffrey, winner of the gold medal for the second consecutive year.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>And MBeer Contest elected the eleven best labels chosen by a jury of excellence, with Brazilian and international names, through blind tasting. There were ten gold and one platinum medals.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>The big winner, with the platinum medal, was Tupiniquim Monjolo BA Wiskey - by Cervejaria Tupiniquim. The gold medals were for the following beers:<br /> <br /> Smoked Porter - Stone Brewing Co.; <br /> Tupiniquim Lost in Translation &ndash; by Cervejaria Tupiniquim in collaboration with Evil Twin Brewing;&nbsp;<br /> Laguna Doro &ndash; by Juan Coloto -&nbsp;Dry Hop Distribuidora;</div> <div>Saint Bier Patada &ndash;&nbsp;by Cervejaria Saint Bier;<br /> Niobium &ndash; by W&auml;ls - Cerveja Arte;<br /> Blend Tripel Montfort Chardonnay Barrel &ndash;&nbsp;by Bodebrown;<br /> Beatus &ndash; by Cervejaria Mistura Cl&aacute;ssica;<br /> Dragon&acute;s Milk &ndash;&nbsp;by New Holland Brewing Company&nbsp;&ndash; USA;<br /> Atomga Cherry &ndash;&nbsp;by Bodebrown;<br /> Penedon Suklaata &ndash; by Penedon Brew Pub.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>The jury was composed of the Americans Bryant &quot;Spike&quot; Bukowski (brewmaster), Randy Mosh (brewery consultant), the Brazilians Andr&eacute; Soares (beer sommelier), Gil Hare (beer sommelier), Gustavo Renha (beer sommelier) Rodrigo Sawamura (beer sommelier and chef), Ronaldo Rossi (beer sommelier and chef), Luiz Caropreso (beer sommelier) and the English Melissa Cole (beer sommelier and president of the jury).</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Lectures and chats with experts were part of the program. Among those which awakened great interest were the conversation with Raphael Taricano, from Nadir Figueiredo, who spoke on &quot;The cup ritual and its peculiarities&quot;; Daniel Lameir&atilde;o, from Deli Delight, presenting his sandwich with beer; Melissa Cole, writer and beer sommelier, talking about harmonization suggestions to the Mondial participating labels; and a lecture by Leonardo Botto about the secret of homemade beers.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>The highlights of this edition were the most unusual flavors of beer. Most exhibitors presented creative labels, including beers with chocolate, star fruit, passion fruit, coffee and even gold. On the other hand, the audience proved to be very receptive to innovations, always looking for the most curious options. For the exhibitors, this success is the evidence that Brazilians are increasingly interested in the beer universe, going far beyond the traditional &quot;icy blonde beer&quot;.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Luana Cloper, a Fagga business manager who has just been in charge of Mondial de la Bi&egrave;re, makes a very positive assessment of the event. &quot;The most important thing is to be sure that we have positively surprised our visitors and exhibitors.
